  Early this year, I was a first time home homebuyer at the age of 60 years old. Always rented and never owned a home. I wanted to shop for a home that would allow me to bundle the house payments (mortgage payment, property tax, and home insurance) to be comparable with my rent of around $700. At the same time, I had to feel right in meeting the people that would play an important role in my home purchase because a large sum of my hard earned money savings was going to be spent. I had to feel right with how they treated me as well, because we will be working with each other for a long period of time in helping me purchase my first home. I was so happy and grateful that I met Jody Richards who was working for Banner Bank then, with the recommendation of Barbara Dancel of River City Realty in Red Bluff, California ( I highly recommend Barbara as well). Jody took the time to understand me as a person and presented me with a loan amount that I can use with Barbara my realtor to shop for a home that is priced within my means. I really respect someone who trys to know me first because I am a shy and quirky person and our business relationship throughout the ordeal of buying a home should be as if we are teammates and friends.
